I arrived at Pallikoodam when I was 7 years old, it did not feel like a boarding school as the teachers and the staff welcomed me as one of their family.
They played a huge part in my formative years. I was lucky to be taught by Mrs. Roy and spend time with her. Through her I got to appreciate the value of courage.
During a time when the sole aim for students were to become a doctors or engineers, the school encouraged us to be free thinkers and follow our passion.
As I got older, I realised that happiness and peace is not something money can buy, it comes with choosing your own path and having the courage to be clear about what you want out of life.
Little did I know that the Schools’ mantra ended up becoming the main driver of my happiness. These values came handy in 2004, when I had to quit a stable job to start Cocofina and subsequently Sozyë.
Other than the knowledge and experience, I gained numerous friends with whom I am in touch even after 25 years! If I could do it all over again I would.
